Stacks Architectural Firm, PLC. was originally known as Arnold and Stacks, P.A.  It was founded by Doug Arnold and Kenneth Stacks at Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1978. A second office was opened in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1985. In 1996, to enhance financial and technical control, the Hot Springs office became Douglas A. Arnold & Associates.  The Jonesboro Office then became Stacks and Steiling Architects, PLC upon Jeff Steiling,AIA 's promotion to partner in 1996.  After seven years with the company, Mr. Steiling left to pursue other interests, thus initiating another company name change to its present name of Stacks Architectural Firm, PLC.
